Sturgis!

Long day yesterday, which is why this post is a day late. I started the day off at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for a saline drip. Apparently, I am not as young as I used to be and with the extreme heat I had been dealing with I got severely dehydrated. I thought I had been drinking enough water along the way, but I guess not. My picture of the day for day 224 is of two gentlemen I met at Mule Creek Junction, WY. They were with a group called Free Ice Water Services and they were providing …

Bath time for baby

Heading out to Sturgis tomorrow, so decided to give the Limited a bath before we leave. I know the first thing I will be looking for when I arrive is a bikini bike wash to get all the grime off her from the ride out there. I have a great route planned and should have some beautiful scenery to photograph and video between here and there. My picture of the day for day 220 is of the Limited after she has been rinsed off, patiently waiting for me to rub her down.

The Road to Psycho Donuts

Photos From Psycho Donuts [adrotate group=”6″] Campbell, CA, I learned about Psycho Donuts, in Campbell, CA via their Facebook page. A quick look at their specialty donuts convinced me that I needed to take a drive up there and sample their goods. This past weekend Tanya, Buddy and I made the journey. We had a good time and met some nice people along the way. [adrotate group=”1″]

How did I get here?

I guess it is a good thing that I take a picture a day, or I might have a real problem keeping track of where I have been and what I have done. This has been a busy month to be sure. Time to catch up with my Project 365 updates. At midnight on Day 197, Tanya and I decided to drive up to Campbell, CA to visit Psycho Donuts. Unfortunately, we did not make it due to the fact that we forgot Tanya’s laptop at home. When we walked in the door I discovered a water inlet hose to …

Indiana Wrap Up

Today is my last day in Indiana, at least for a couple of months. So here is a wrap up of my last few pictures of the day. Day 186 shows the road I have been walking down when I need to stretch my legs. This is an easy way to lose weight, with their 95 degrees and 100% humidity. On Day 187, Tanya and I went to a new restaurant here in Valpo called the Industrial Revolution. From talking with our waitress I learned that this restaurant has been through several menu changes. We will probably check it out …

July Picture of the Day Begins

We are only at the 4th Day of July, and already this month has been action packed. Let’s play a little catch-up on my picture of the day thus far. On Day 182 my friends took me out for an early birthday dinner at my favorite spot, Gu Gu Sushi and Roll. We then headed over to Hollywood Park to see Devo in concert. Really fun show and the price is great. If you live in the LA area you might want to check out the concert action at Hollywood Park. I was up bright and early the next day …

Riding in the Giant Forest

As I mentioned the other day, I took a ride on the new H-D Limited to Sequoia National Park. Besides being home to Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states, beautiful rivers and bears, you will also find some of the oldest and largest trees on the planet. This video, taken with my ContourHD helmet cam, is of my ride through the Giant Forest. I do recommend clicking the settings for 720 and full screen. It is a pretty amazing place.

Project 365 for May 2010

Project 365 Photos [adrotate group=”6″] May 2010 May 2010 is now a memory as we move on to June. May was a pretty interesting month. It began with me being in Sioux Falls, SD at J&L Harley-Davidson. They were giving demo rides of the 2010 models and I took one. Three weeks later I was the proud owner of a 2010 Limited. I also noticed that May seems to be the month I most frequently buy motorcycles. Not really sure why that is, but it is definitely a pattern. [adrotate group=”1″]

Ride to Sequoia National Park [adrotate group=”6″] Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains Since it is Memorial Day weekend, I decided to take an extended Sunday ride this week. I loaded up the Limited with my Canon and laptop and headed back to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I initially intended to head up the 395, but since I was there a couple of weeks ago, I decided to veer to the west side of the Sierra Nevada mountains and go to Sequoia National Park instead. I need more time there, so I will return again with Geek Good Girl. Enjoy the photos. …
