Graying nicely

Yes, my hair is changing colors. That is one thing that these daily photos have shown me over the past year. I will not complain though as I will take a full head of gray/silver/white/whatever color as opposed to being bald. My picture of the day for day 4 is a reminder to me of just how gray I am getting.

I can say I am anywhere

One of the advantages I found to my picture of the day project is that when I look back through the past year I can look at a photo and almost immediately remember where I was on that day. The weather around here lately makes it look like I am somewhere other than Southern California. Day 3 of 2011 finds me still home but it looks like I might be in Indiana.

Different year, same weather

I decided that I was going to discontinue visiting Indiana in the winter, but the way things have been around here lately, I do not see much difference. Yeah, I know they have snow, but it is not as nearly as wet as rain. My picture of the day for day two of 2011 was taken on another dreary morning in Southern California. Rain, rain, please go away.

Time to start a new year

I am going to continue with my photo of the day project, also known as Project 365. While I really had to force myself to complete the project for 2010, I did it and I am glad I did. I had thought about switching it up a little, like have a different theme each month, but I am not sure how I want to approach this. I guess for now I will see if I can do an entire month with me in the daily photo. Last year, I made it 18 days before I started using photos of inanimate …

My Project 365 Year End Gallery

It has been a year since I changed the format of GotBaddog.com. In that time, I have done a lot of traveling and I have taken a lot of photos. I would not even hazard a guess as to how many photos I take in a year, I just know I am glad we use memory cards instead of film these days. In the past year, Tanya and I have visited AZ, NV, UT, NM, CO, OK, TX, LA, MS, AR, TN, KY, MO, NE, IA, IN, SD KS, IL, WY, Ireland, Spain and The Netherlands. I also went to …

Project 365 December 2010 Photos

Project 365 – December Photos From December 2010 As I go through the photos from December, I see that most of it was spent with friends and family. Considering the time of year, I guess that is appropriate. I have not been anywhere in a while, but I have a feeling that is about to change.

A warm body

Sometimes, I get so involved in my work that I become oblivious to my surroundings. Like today, when I realized that I was shivering from being so cold. Luckily, I had Buddy here to act as a thermal blanket for my feet. My photo of the day for day 364 is of Buddy after he got my feeling in my feet again.

Suited and booted

I have lost a lot of weight this year. One might think that this is a good thing, but it is beginning to get expensive. I have a few thousand invested in suits and I am having to get each altered in order the wear them again. Since I have several functions to attend in the next couple of weeks, it was time for me to hit the garment district to visit my tailor and to accessorize. My photo of the day for today is of one the outfits I put together for Las Vegas.

Alex

If you follow my adventures enough to be looking at these specific words, you probably picked up on the fact that I am a huge fan of Gu Gu Sushi & Roll, in Hermosa Beach, CA. I have introduced people from around the globe to this sushi goodness. No one has ever left disappointed. This can be attributed to a fantastic menu, the freshest ingredients, and two great chefs. I recently discovered that one of the two, Alex, has turned in his two weeks notice. He asked me to come in one last time before he left. Two friends and …

A pretty nice morning

I made the mistake of assuming that since a La Nina was the opposite of an El Nino, that this meant it would be a dry winter. I guess it has more to do with the temperature of the rain than the amount of it. I know one thing for sure, I have never worn out an umbrella before, but the one I have owned for the last year is never going to make it through this winter. My photo of the day was taken during my morning walk. One of the few nice mornings, lately.
