Mid-July Picture of the Day

The calendar tells me we have reached the middle of July. I can not believe how slow this month gets after the 4th. Oh well, here is some catch up with my picture of the day. Day 194 is me while walking Buddy. The June gloom is nothing but a memory now. Yesterday, Tanya and I decided to barbecue. She made one of her delicious Strawberry Pecan Salads. I barbecued some thighs and legs. Great leftovers. Since it looks like we are going to be stuck here for a while I decided to take Buddy to the groomers. Here he …

Back Home for July Photo of the Day

It looks like I am back home for July. Had planned on taking a ride up north but a broken lock on my bike’s tour pack eliminated that possibility as I do not feel like putting my livelihood at risk. So, here is a summary of the last few days. Friday was Day 190 of my picture a day and it found me in Los Angeles at VidCon. I am sure there are worse ways to spend a day, I just can not think of them offhand. Tanya wanted to go back to LA for another dose of VidCon, or …

Indiana Wrap Up

Today is my last day in Indiana, at least for a couple of months. So here is a wrap up of my last few pictures of the day. Day 186 shows the road I have been walking down when I need to stretch my legs. This is an easy way to lose weight, with their 95 degrees and 100% humidity. On Day 187, Tanya and I went to a new restaurant here in Valpo called the Industrial Revolution. From talking with our waitress I learned that this restaurant has been through several menu changes. We will probably check it out …

The Life You Save

As you may know, I have done a lot of traveling around the states in the last couple of months. One thing that I have noticed in almost every state I have visited lately is that they are promoting motorcycle awareness. I have lost several friends and I have a permanent injury due to people not watching for motorcycles. Day 185 picture of the day is a reminder to please pay attention when driving.

July Picture of the Day Begins

We are only at the 4th Day of July, and already this month has been action packed. Let’s play a little catch-up on my picture of the day thus far. On Day 182 my friends took me out for an early birthday dinner at my favorite spot, Gu Gu Sushi and Roll. We then headed over to Hollywood Park to see Devo in concert. Really fun show and the price is great. If you live in the LA area you might want to check out the concert action at Hollywood Park. I was up bright and early the next day …

This Is the End

Unfortunately, it is going to have to be put on hold for a while as I am leaving for a bit and did not feel like buying a bunch of veggies, only to have them go bad while I was gone. Day 181, the last day of June. Here in Southern California, at least by the beach, it is not very sunny in the month of June. In fact, I remember as a kid they used to shoot fireworks off the Redondo Beach barge for the 4th of July and it was constantly rescheduled for a couple weeks later because …

Day 172 Picture of the Day

I guess it is pretty bad when I can not come up with an interesting title, but there you go. I think part of it is that I committed to this but I do not want to be. I think it is safe to say I will not be doing this on 2011. My picture of the day is of Buddy getting a dental treat. He loves them.

Do nothing day

Plans fell apart early today so I decided to say screw it and do nothing. Buddy was pretty happy to see that. We played fetch and he let me take some pictures of him. Day 171 picture of the day is the last shot of the day.

Graduation Day

Today, my daughter-in-law graduated with an MBA. Since seating was extremely limited, I was unable to attend the ceremony but met up with friends and family at an eatery later to celebrate. Day 170 picture of the day is my daughter-in-law with one of her friends at the party.

Lost and Found

Back in April, Tanya bought Buddy a bandanna at a Harley shop in Utah. Buddy loves wearing it. I take it off him every night and he comes up to have me put it on every morning. He feels special with it, I guess. Last night, when I went to remove it, it was not there. There were only two possibilities. Either he lost it in the back yard when I put him back there after our walk . . . or he lost it on the walk. A quick walk through the yard made it clear it was somewhere …
