Photos from Wasa Sushi, Newport Beach

A couple of friends of mine read this blog, and follow me on Facebook (see sidebar –>), and as a result have seen many photos from my visits to Gu Gu Sushi. A couple of weeks ago, we decided that we would have a sushi exchange program. I would visit their favorite sushi establishment and then we would all go to Gu Gu and see who had the best sushi. Last Saturday, I joined them at Wasa On the Bluffs, in Newport Beach, CA. It was a fun ride there and back, and the sushi was good. They are more …

My first days of 2011 – Project365 photos

This has been an interesting year, thus far. I have been able to take a few nice motorcycle rides, spent some time with my honey, went to Las Vegas for close to a week and walked Buddy, a lot. Unfortunately, there were also a couple of technical issues that kept me from doing daily Project365 updates to GotBaddog, but I think I have gotten everything under control. I may not be religious about doing the updates, but at least I remember to take the photos. So, here is January 2011, Project365.

A Gu Gu Sushi Milestone

It is no secret that my favorite place to get sushi is at Gu Gu Sushi & Roll in Hermosa Beach. I have been dining there for almost two years, and have yet to leave disappointed. In fact, one of the things I enjoy the most about Gu Gu, is that it really does not matter what I order, I know it is going to be good. Gu Gu has close to 200 various rolls and sashimi available. They have multiple menus and I decided I wanted to try every roll they offered, so I took one of their menus …

Barger Harley-Davidson Chili Cook Off Photos

Last Saturday, my buddy Phil and I took a ride out to Canoga Park to Barger Harley-Davidson for their open house and to check out the chili cook off. It was in the mid-80’s so while it may not have made for ideal chili weather, it was a great day for a bike ride. The chili was pretty good. What surprised me was that I liked the vegetarian version best.

Photos of the Easyriders Bike Show Sacramento

A few weeks ago, I entered a photo contest at a motorcycle forum and won an honorable mention. The prize was a pass to the Easyriders Bike Show which was coming to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, I was out of town that weekend at an Internet marketing trade show. I had a suspicion that I had won the honorable mention because the forum owners knew I would bring my camera and provide some photos for their members. Since it was in the mid-80’s at my place on Friday, and there did not appear to be a threat of rain between LA …

Photos from Tuesday at ASW11

Tuesday was the last day of the Internet marketing event, Affiliate Summit West 2011. Since the Affiliate Ball was held the prior evening, I was not surprised to see what seemed to be fewer people at the morning sessions and in the exhibit hall. Since it was my sixth day in Las Vegas I had to make it a short day, so things may have picked up in the afternoon. I did have the opportunity to talk with a few people that had never attended Affiliate Summit before, and other than one exhibitor that must have been having a bad …

Photos from the Affiliate Ball at ASW11

The big party at Affiliate Summit West 2011 was the Affiliate Ball, held Monday evening at the Crown Theater, located in the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. My good friend, Darren Blatt, has been hosting events like the Affiliate Ball for 12 years and Monday night proved that he knows what he is doing when it comes to productions like this. Starring Three 6 Mafia, with lead act the Black Rock City Allstars, this party was rocking. I suspect there were about 2,000 people in attendance and everyone seemed to have a great time. This was confirmed the …

Photos from Monday at Affiliate Summit West 2011

Monday, I headed back over to the Wynn for day two of the Internet marketing event known as 2011 Affiliate Summit West (ASW11). As expected, the Exhibit Hall was packed as were the seminars. Although the ASW11 website said the show was sold out, I noticed that people were able to purchase tickets at the venue, which I think was a good thing. I do not know if all levels of passes were available at the door or not, but if one wanted to get into the exhibit hall, that seemed to be available.

Photos from Affiliate Summit West 2011

Today was the first day that I was able to make it over to the Wynn for Affiliate Summit West, 2011. After picking up my pass I took a look at what will be the exhibit hall. It has been a couple of years since I attended Affiliate Summit, so my recollection may be a little hazy, but it appears that there are going to be plenty of vendors and exhibitors to keep everyone busy. I then went over to the meet market. The room was packed. I look forward to this show as it is pretty evident that Internet …

My Project 365 Year End Gallery

It has been a year since I changed the format of GotBaddog.com. In that time, I have done a lot of traveling and I have taken a lot of photos. I would not even hazard a guess as to how many photos I take in a year, I just know I am glad we use memory cards instead of film these days. In the past year, Tanya and I have visited AZ, NV, UT, NM, CO, OK, TX, LA, MS, AR, TN, KY, MO, NE, IA, IN, SD KS, IL, WY, Ireland, Spain and The Netherlands. I also went to …
