Sometimes you go outside and it is sunshine and blue skies with white puffy clouds and everything is just wonderful. Sometimes, blue skies with white puffy clouds just are not going to change anything. In fact, the overcast skies are appropriate. My picture of the day for day 278 shows the skies looking how I feel.
Started the day off with a telephone call to Blue Shield. The information provided was not exactly making me feel better about things. I have to admit, I am not taking this very well. My picture of the day for day 277 is of me walking it off. There really are not many other options.
It sucks. It is Sunday, and no way can I ride a bike. Hopefully, I will be able to get some answers from the insurance company tomorrow. Since I can’t ride, and I can’t Wii, my physical activity is pretty much limited to walking. My picture of the day for day 276 is of Buddy and I going on our longest walk of the week. 1.75 miles.
I am not really sure what is going on. When I was in Chicago, on the way home from Europe there were record setting heat waves. I get home and it gets cloudy and I hear talk of rain. This is LA! We don’t have rain in October . . . do we? My picture of the day for day 275 is me on a gloomy October morning walk.
So, it is Friday. I have been in pain for a solid month and I have not had any Gu Gu in three weeks. I know I can do nothing about the pain, but I can do something about the sushi. Something about that place just seems to make things better. My photo of the day for day 274 is of an arbitrary rainbow that appeared on the way home from going to Gu Gu Sushi. It had not been raining at all, so I was a little surprised by its appearance.
A Picture a Day – Project 365 September 2010 What a month September was. I should have figured that starting it off with a visit to a doctor was not a good way to start it off, but I had little choice. Enough complaining. All in all, it was a good month with a visit to my first hot air balloon festival, then off to Europe with Tanya. We had an amazing time together, visiting Ireland, Barcelona and Amsterdam.
I survived Europe, so now it is a matter of waiting until I can see a doctor. I have a feeling my picture of the day is going to be pretty boring for a while. My absence did not cause Buddy to forget about his daily walks since my dad was kind enough to take over that duty while I was out of town. Our first full day in Amsterdam was on Saturday. We were there for the second of two trade shows. I really did not expect much from this show because I expected many attendees were going to be people I already talked to in Spain. It turned out I was quite wrong. I could have left Saturday evening and the trip would have been worth while. Saturday evening we went to dinner with a group of friends to dinner at Hosokawa, a Japanese steakhouse and sushi bar. The dinner lasted about 4.5 hours but time flew with the friends and entertainment. …
When we left off I was in Ireland with my girlfriend, Tanya. We arrived at Barcelona airport early Tuesday morning due in part to a general strike in France. Some things never change.. Upon further reflection, I am not sure why we arrived so late in Barcelona. Perhaps it was because nothing was scheduled to be happening in Spain that night so we opted to stay in Dublin longer. France’s strike got in our way when we went into Amsterdam. Honest mistake. Anyway, Tuesday afternoon we went off to a go-kart track with about 50 other people. I love racing …
