Road Trip Day Four Photos

Road Trip Photos, Day Four [adrotate group=”6″] Green River, UT to Cortez, CO Started off the day in one of Butch Cassidy’s old haunts, Green River, UT. We then headed over to Moab and Arches National Park. Beautiful place, and very photogenic. After several hours there we decided to head to CO. On the way we found a turnoff for Canyonlands National Park. I had never heard of it before, but I have an annual pass for all the national parks, so a detour was made. Definitely looked like Indian country. Majestic. We ended up in Cortez, CO and had …

Photos From Day Three Road Trip

Day Three Road Trip Photos [adrotate group=”6″] Zion to Bryce to Green River, UT Woke up a few hundred yards from the entrance of Zion National Park, so we had to return. Tanya, Buddy and I walked along a river for a while, then drove through Zion to the other end. We decided to go to Arches National Park, but had to detour to Bryce Canyon first. This included the Dixie Forest and Red Canyon since they were on the way. Truly beautiful. We then headed towards Arches, but I-70 is so amazing, we had to stop and take more …

Road Companions

Road trips should be fun, but the fact of the matter is that if your traveling companions are not fun to be with, the road trip will suck. Fortunately, this is not an issue for me. Day 104 of my daily photo log, Project 365, is a photo of my two favorite companions.

Road Trip Day Two Photos

Road Trip, Day Two [adrotate group=”6″] Las Vegas, NV to Zion National Park Day two of our road trip began in Las Vegas, NV. The drive on I-15 North, as you leave NV takes you into the Virgin River Gorge, which is pretty amazing. I have driven it several times, but this is the first time I was able to get photos of the place. After a late lunch in St. George, UT we headed into Springdale which is where one of the entrances to Zion National Park. One visit there and you have to imagine what the first settlers …

Road Trip Day One Photos

Road Trip, Day One Photos [adrotate group=”6″] Los Angeles To Las Vegas The best road trips are those that have no destination, and that is what we are doing. Since we have no time schedule, it did not really matter that we got a late start. So, we spent the first night in Vegas. [adrotate group=”1″]

Have dog, will travel

Day 94 of my daily photo journal, known as Project 365. Today was spent primarily in the garage as we worked on my son’s bike, replacing his wheels with the ones I gave him for his birthday tomorrow. At one point, Buddy was nowhere to be found. Turns out he had decided to help himself to the trunk of my car. He has never been in there before, and I certainly never offered it to him. Judging by the look on his face, he has a new place to hang out while I am taking photos on our upcoming journey. …

Focus

Day 89 of Project 365. This daily photo thing is pretty cool actually. I am looking forward to putting up the March gallery, because March was a pretty good month. April is going to rock. Stay tuned for that. Unfortunately, this was not as focused as I would have liked. Why I did not think about using the “children” setting while he was running until now is beyond me. Man.

Nightly Walks Too

It is really nice here, even the evenings are pleasant. Here Buddy and I take a break on our walk, while we wait for the signal to turn green. Day 88 of Project 365, my daily photo blog.

Yes, I am irritated

Woke up early today. Had an event I wanted to go to this morning and they wanted us there at 10:15. Luckily UPS called and woke me. So, I got up, walked the dog, grabbed the camera and headed out to LA. After I got a parking ticket, someone got on a megaphone and suggested we move our cars. Yes, after the ticket was issued. That is when they opened the gates to the parking lot too. Day 85 of my daily photo log known as Project 365.
