Long time El Segundo resident, Jennifer Krebs, was recently diagnosed with stage three cancer. Since she will be starting chemo therapy soon, and El Segundo being the tight knit community it is, friends and family threw a fundraiser Friday night at Harry O’s. A small donation at the door was requested with all proceeds going towards Krebs’ medical costs. Entertainment was provided by Hoist the Colors, which I can only describe as an Irish folk/rock band. There was a silent auction and a donation bucket that was passed along all evening. Judging by the smiles it appeared that everyone was having a good time.
