I made the mistake of assuming that since a La Nina was the opposite of an El Nino, that this meant it would be a dry winter. I guess it has more to do with the temperature of the rain than the amount of it. I know one thing for sure, I have never worn out an umbrella before, but the one I have owned for the last year is never going to make it through this winter. My photo of the day was taken during my morning walk. One of the few nice mornings, lately.
Have I mentioned how wet it is around here lately? It is getting more and more difficult each day to find a piece of land above the water to walk Buddy on. As you can tell by my photo of the day, Buddy is not too bothered by it.
I often tell passersby that Buddy has never met a day he did not like. Granted, there may be the occasional rainy morning, but he still is more excited about them than I ever am. My photo of the day number 350 is of Buddy, kicking up his heels, in celebration of a new day.
Next to finding a photo worth taking each day, probably the most difficult part of Project 365 is thinking of something interesting to say about the photo. Today is a perfect example of this. My picture of the day for day 341 is of Buddy. At the end of every walk, Buddy lets me remove his Gentle Leader and leash, then he sits, watching the house, waiting for the signal to get his furry butt over there and in the back yard.
Tanya is not much of a morning person so she has never joined Buddy and me on our morning walks. However, nine times out of ten she will join us for our evening walks. My picture of the day for day 340 is of the three of us on an evening walk, waiting for the light to change.
I try to make it a habit to bring my point and shoot camera with me whenever Buddy and I go for our walks as there is a great chance that I am going to find something [I find] interesting to photograph. Thursday morning was no exception, in fact, there were a few pictures I could have posted for my photo of the day today. As Buddy and I walked from one park to another, we could not help but notice the large number of seagulls hanging out in the park. Buddy was off in a flash and the birds …
I do not believe I have ever owned a dog as loyal as Buddy. He can be very subtle about it and he can be very obvious about it. It all depends on what the situation warrants. My photo of the day for the day before Thanksgiving is of Buddy as he waits for my signal to continue walking. I have to say, I really enjoy taking him out on walks and trips. He is a pleasurable animal to hang with.
There is not much question that it is fall around here. I don’t mean frost on the pumpkins fall, but pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings. I would prefer if it was a little warmer, but at least it is not flyover state cold. My picture of the day for Tuesday is of Buddy thoroughly enjoying himself on our morning walk. It is good to see that his visit to the vet accomplished our goal. No more itching!
For the life of me, I can not understand why people have thought that me shaving was a good idea. I am hating this new look and I can not wait for December when I can start growing a beard again. My picture of the day today shows how scruffy my early morning walks have become. They say we are in an El Nina weather condition which is supposed to mean less rain than normal. I wonder what it would be like if it was an El Nino. I would probably have to just let Buddy go for morning and evening swims. My photo for today is of a rose in full bloom with the remnants of the early morning rain.
