I picked up a new Canon 5D Mark II the other day and since I need to get some practice in before I feel comfortable photographing events, like the PV Street Fair coming up in a few weeks, I decided to take a ride around the South Bay with a couple friends and put the camera through some real world experience; the way I plan on using it.
We started off by riding around the Palos Verdes Peninsula and ended up at Trump National Golf Club for a beer and a little snack. After spending a little time these we headed over to the Strand Brewing Company in Torrance. There we happened to run into Bonnie, our server from our visit to Rock & Brews a couple weeks ago. As coincidence would have it, she just happened to be there helping out. Strand Brewing has been around a couple years, but I guess they just opened their tasting room a couple weeks or months ago. As one member of our group had to leave, I called Tanya to see if she wanted to join us at Matsuyama Sushi. Naturally, she did so we headed over to the house to pick her up. It was the perfect end to a pretty perfect day. It turns out, I really like the camera too.
Since Tanya was unable to come for the bike ride portion of the day due to her RAD, I have watermarked the photos with the Rheumatoid Patient Foundation’s button.
