All ready to go

Tanya will be landing soon. When we are together, I seem to put on a lot of weight. We will see where I am at after I take her home. Project 365, Day 96 of my daily photo log. I do not remember the last time I saw the scale this far to the left of 200.

March 2010 Project 365

Project 365 – March [adrotate group=”6″] Photos From March 2010 Another month bites the dust. I do not know about you, but 2010 is flying by for me. March was a good month, due in large part to the fact that my girlfriend came out for a week. That is always nice. We had fun and got a lot of work done. We are sponsoring a show in Phoenix next week and had a lot to do to get ready for it. Plus, it was tax time, so we had that fun to get out of the way. Anyway, thank …

Itzik Hagadol Grill

Itzik Hagadol Grill, Encino, CA [adrotate group=”6″] Authentic Israeli Food When I was first introduced to Itzik Hagadol, I was told the name was Big Itzik. When I wrote about it last month, I called it Big Itzik. As I was standing outside waiting on our dinner guests I noticed it did not say “big” anywhere. I was told that hagadol means big. I have not been able to verify that. What I do know, is that their food is delicious. [adrotate group=”1″]

Riverside National Cemetery

The VA National Cemetery in Riverside, CA [adrotate group=”6″] Honoring the Military Service of Our Nation’s Veterans Since I was out in the Riverside area yesterday I decided to stop by and visit my mother’s final resting place. It is a very nice cemetery that includes a Medal of Honor Memorial, Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Memorial and the “Veterans Memorial” tribute to fallen soldiers. It is worth a visit if ever in the area. Enjoy the photos. [adrotate group=”1″]

Sights from the Los Angeles Zoo

Sights from the Los Angeles Zoo [adrotate group=”6″] Photos From Our Outing To the LA Zoo Believe it or not, but this morning I was inspired by a friend’s Facebook update. He mentioned that if the weather was right he might go to the zoo. I thought that sounded like an excellent idea, and our weather is always zoo worthy. Tanya and I got on the Glide and headed to the LA Zoo. It gave me a great opportunity to play with the new Sigma lens as well. [adrotate group=”1″]

Sigma Lens

Sigma Zoom Super Wide Angle Lens [adrotate group=”6″] My First Test Shots My new Sigma zoom super wide angle 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS (Optical Stabilizer) lens for my Canon Rebel Digital EOS arrived today. Within five minutes of arrival it was on the camera and I started shooting anything within eyesight. Here are a few sample pictures. I think I will keep it. Geek Good Girl and I headed back out to Point Vicente because she is planning on ordering one over the weekend. Had to let her play with it for a little while. [adrotate group=”1″]

A Blustery Day at Pt Vicente

Pictures from Point Vicente [adrotate group=”6″] A Windy Winter Day My girlfriend has not been here since I discovered that Point Vicente is a great place to watch for whales. We decided to take a short break from work and head up there. We got a couple water spouts, so we know they were out there, but it was really blown out. Not sure a whale really cares about the weather though. [adrotate group=”1″]
