Photos From New Mexico

Road Trip Day 6 [adrotate group=”6″] New Mexico Scenery Today is day six of our road trip. As we were headed east on I-40 we saw a sign informing us of a volcano and ice caves just 25 miles away. With all the news about volcanoes recently, a detour was in order. We ended up at Bandera Volcano and ice cave. It was pretty cool, no pun intended, and gave up a nice bit of exercise walking up and down the trails to see them. [adrotate group=”1″]

Road Trip Day Five Photos

Road Trip Photos [adrotate group=”6″] Mesa Verde National Park Today’s photos are of Mesa Verde National Park. It is known for having some of the best preserved cliff dwellings that the Pueblo people used for 700 years. That is some endurable construction! It was cool seeing things that I have only seen pictures of. We needed to put some miles on, and we spent longer than anticipated at Mesa Verde, so we headed to Gallup, NM to hole up for the night. Just an FYI, starting Saturday, April 17, all National Parks will have free admission for a week. I …

Road Trip Day Four Photos

Road Trip Photos, Day Four [adrotate group=”6″] Green River, UT to Cortez, CO Started off the day in one of Butch Cassidy’s old haunts, Green River, UT. We then headed over to Moab and Arches National Park. Beautiful place, and very photogenic. After several hours there we decided to head to CO. On the way we found a turnoff for Canyonlands National Park. I had never heard of it before, but I have an annual pass for all the national parks, so a detour was made. Definitely looked like Indian country. Majestic. We ended up in Cortez, CO and had …

Photos From Day Three Road Trip

Day Three Road Trip Photos [adrotate group=”6″] Zion to Bryce to Green River, UT Woke up a few hundred yards from the entrance of Zion National Park, so we had to return. Tanya, Buddy and I walked along a river for a while, then drove through Zion to the other end. We decided to go to Arches National Park, but had to detour to Bryce Canyon first. This included the Dixie Forest and Red Canyon since they were on the way. Truly beautiful. We then headed towards Arches, but I-70 is so amazing, we had to stop and take more …

Road Trip Day Two Photos

Road Trip, Day Two [adrotate group=”6″] Las Vegas, NV to Zion National Park Day two of our road trip began in Las Vegas, NV. The drive on I-15 North, as you leave NV takes you into the Virgin River Gorge, which is pretty amazing. I have driven it several times, but this is the first time I was able to get photos of the place. After a late lunch in St. George, UT we headed into Springdale which is where one of the entrances to Zion National Park. One visit there and you have to imagine what the first settlers …

Road Trip Day One Photos

Road Trip, Day One Photos [adrotate group=”6″] Los Angeles To Las Vegas The best road trips are those that have no destination, and that is what we are doing. Since we have no time schedule, it did not really matter that we got a late start. So, we spent the first night in Vegas. [adrotate group=”1″]

These photos are from the event held in Los Angeles, CA at Pershing Square. It was supposed to be a 15 minute long event, but it lasted several minutes longer. March 2010 Project 365

Project 365 – March [adrotate group=”6″] Photos From March 2010 Another month bites the dust. I do not know about you, but 2010 is flying by for me. March was a good month, due in large part to the fact that my girlfriend came out for a week. That is always nice. We had fun and got a lot of work done. We are sponsoring a show in Phoenix next week and had a lot to do to get ready for it. Plus, it was tax time, so we had that fun to get out of the way. Anyway, thank …

Calm day at Pt Vicente

Calm Day On the Bay [adrotate group=”6″] Beautiful Spring Day at Pt Vicente After spending some time with my son, I decided to head back up to Pt Vicente to try and get some pictures of migrating whales. As soon as I picked my spot to photograph from, a couple guys that were already there proceeded to tell me about a couple dolphins that had been playing around in the cove beneath us. They showed me the pictures of the dolphins spinning in air, and basically acting like they were performing at Sea World or something. Naturally, once I got …

Blind Childrens Easter Egg Hunt

Beeping Easter Egg Hunt [adrotate group=”6″] Blind Childrens Center, Los Angeles Every once in a while I like to show a kinder, gentler baddog. When that feeling comes over me, I like to direct this kindness to underprivileged children. One of my favorite charities is the Anita Boden Foundation. Today, as a regular donor for the past several years, I was invited to attend the Blind Childrens Center’s Beeping Easter Egg Hunt. As you can see from the smiling faces, blind or not, everyone loves an Easter Egg Hunt. [adrotate group=”1″]
