Went out morel mushroom hunting with Tanya, her sister and her sister’s husband. Morel hunting is a lot like Fight Club in that the first rule of morel hunting is don’t say where you found them. It was fun and we found a bunch. My daily photo shows me with the first morel I spotted.
Project 365, Day 113 of my daily photo log. Last night was a pretty strenuous evening for everyone involved. Buddy got spooked and ran off into the darkness. As I figured he would, he eventually found a home with another dog and decided to walk inside their house. So, while we were frantic, cruising the neighborhoods and yelling out his name, he was kicked back enjoying the company of a doberman. Day 111 of my daily photo log, Project 365. I think I was in Illinois when I took this picture of Tanya and I, but to be honest, I was in so many states today, it is purely a guess.

While yesterday’s view of Oklahoma and Texas were rather plain, today was quite different. Much more lush. I have never been to these portions of Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana before. Today’s daily photo is of my girlfriend and me at Tyler State Park, in Texas.
I have to admit, after spending the last few days in such beautiful states as Utah and New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma seem a little plain. Of course, that could be because we are driving across the plains. It will be better tomorrow. Day 108 of my daily photo log, Project 365.

Four national parks in two and a half days. I do not know how to describe Arches National Park without sounding like the same thing I have thought about the others Tanya and I have visited lately. I have a new found respect for Utah. Day 105 of Project 365.
Road trips should be fun, but the fact of the matter is that if your traveling companions are not fun to be with, the road trip will suck. Fortunately, this is not an issue for me. Day 104 of my daily photo log, Project 365, is a photo of my two favorite companions.
