These photos were taken November 25, 2011 just north of Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach, in an area known as El Porto. I headed over there on Black Friday to check out the surf and surfing action as I had been informed that the surf should be pretty photogenic. I got there late in the morning, so the bright sunlight played havoc with my photography, but the surfers seemed to be enjoying themselves.
