Day 69 of my daily photo log, otherwise known as Project 365. Got my Sigma zoom super wide angle lens today. I love it. Is like a wide angle and zoom lens combined. As I am never happy with the lens I have on at the time, this was perfect for me. I was able to zoom all the way in and still take this picture from an arm’s length away.

Within five minutes of arrival it was on the camera and I started shooting anything within eyesight. Here are a few sample pictures. I think I will keep it. We decided to take a short break from work and head up there. We got a couple water spouts, so we know they were out there, but it was really blown out. Not sure a whale really cares about the weather though. [adrotate group=”1″]
Day 68 of Project 365. We took a little break from work and rode up to Point Vicente to see if the whales were out and about. It was very windy out, making the water quite choppy. While we did not see any whales breaching we did manage to get a couple shots of water spouts. Oh well, I have a new lens coming in tomorrow so Geek Good Girl and I will try again tomorrow. I have to test it out anyway, right? My daily photo is of Geek Good Girl and me.

Day 66 of Project 365. It is Sunday, so my daily photo includes my son since we went on our weekly ride. This week’s destination, Cook’s Corner. Got a little wet out.

Naturally, since we did not ride, it did not rain all that much. We decided to not risk passing up another ride only to have it not rain. Of course, that just ensured that it did rain. Day 64 of my daily photo spree, ala Project 365. Buddy and I headed over to the VA in West LA to get more pictures of the National Veterans Mural.
National Veterans Mural [adrotate group=”6″] West Los Angeles VA Center Last week, you may have seen the video I took of a mural at the VA medical center in West Los Angeles. I decided to submit it to CNN’s iReport, and they felt it was worthy enough to contact me in their vetting process to validate the video. They asked if I had additional photos, which I did, but only a couple and they were taken with my point and shoot, from my bike.
