If you are a regular reader of GotBaddog.com you will recall that last week Tanya and I went up to Yosemite to try and photograph a natural phenomena that occurs the last two weeks of February at Horsetail Falls. This phenomena requires a few things to be right in order for the effect to happen. These include sunlight and enough water coming over the falls in addition to the proper positioning of the sun, which only happens in February.
We lucked out and went 2:2 on Saturday and Sunday. On Valentine’s Day we could see a storm was moving in, so did not bother trying. I went back up there with Buddy to try my luck. Yosemite had been transformed. There was lots of snow, all over. Unfortunately, as the day ended, clouds came in and eliminated the possibility of getting the shot I came for, but there was plenty more to see. I will try again next week, if possible.
