Today, Tanya and I joined the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) at Aimee’s Bistro in Redondo Beach for the May meeting of their Networking at Noon. The TACC Networking at Noon is a monthly gathering of Chamber members; usually held at a local restaurant. So far we have been pretty lucky with the host restaurant, but today we really scored by having it at Aimee’s Bistro. The food was delicious. I see a return in my future; maybe do a review on it.
The networking event is one of the perks of being a member of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce. It gives you the opportunity to meet with other business owners, promote your business or the one you work for with 30 second introductions. They also have one member that gets the “spotlight” at each meeting, and they get 10 minutes to talk about what they offer. There are also door prizes and business card swaps. Speaking from personal experience, we have done business with a few companies we met and have generated some interest in our services. It is through our participation with the TACC that I picked up the Palos Verdes Street Fair opportunity, so I have become a huge fan.
I donated the watermark to the Rheumatoid Patient Foundation (RPF) to help bring them a little attention. If you know anyone with RA, you should tell them about RPF. It is the only organization dedicated to helping sufferers of this lousy disease.
